It’s fair to say my summer reading program is null. At the edge of August and this is my first weekend “off” in going on three months. How. Did. That. Happen. Is anyone else bad at being protective of their time or is just a character flaw of mine? Looking forward to leaning into the abundance of August and being held in the heat of it all to help induce some rest and reflection.

In a bit of a mid-fever haze yesterday and tired of listening to my own thoughts I pulled two 45 vinyls off the shelf. As if a fortuitous fisherman cast the line right in front of me, they couldn’t have fit the time any better.

I mean, obviously. Blondie is the Queen of all seasons but this is THE summer anthem. Not to be overlooked and possibly the real star of this record– Suzy and Jeffrey.
