Champagne + Daylight

Daylight Savings. The shadows have grown long and the days are short. It’s Sunday Supper season. Today has been a strange day. Adjusting to the time change, as slight as it is, is so affecting.

But good strange.

Like daydream state strange.

I dreamt of a supper club + a cafe. The holidays.. many, many things. All in between the concept and context of time. There I go again…

Anyway, you can’t have nice supper without champagne–well, you could, but why would you? If you are looking for a nice, accessible champagne that isn’t Moët or Veuve (yeah, you heard me) allow me to introduce you to your new favorite: Taittinger.

I love Taittinger. It is fuller than others at its price point, but not yeasty or sour, and certainly not sweet. It’s got gorgeous fizz. It’s fresh + feisty. Not to mention, it pairs perfectly with roast chicken.

In fact, sipping on it before dinner had me in such a festive mood I made a chocolate cake while I was waiting for the chicken to roast because what else do you do on a Sunday?

A toast to cozy season!

Cheers xx
